New, 2019 Audi A6 Looks The Same, But A Better Car Than Before

This is the all-new, eighth generation Audi A6! At first glance, it doesn’t look that much different from its predecessor, but peeling back the skin reveals a much improved vehicle with more luxury and all the tech goodies you could want in a car.

If you fancy the latest Audi A7 but prefer more conventional sedan proportions and a trunk as oppose to a hatch, the new A6 has your name written all over it. The two models are essentially the same, featuring a design that’s more sculpted, sharper and, thus, sportier than that of their predecessors. It’s just too bad the new A6 looks very similar to the old A6.

Fortunately, the interior has been completely revamped, boasting higher quality materials, better functionality and a boatload of tech. The infotainment system and climate controls are operated via two driver-oriented screens, while a third screen replaces the analog instrument cluster. A head-up display projects important information onto the windshield.

The top screen goes black to blend into the rest of the dashboard when the car turns off and re-activates automatically when it detects a door open.

To make driving easier, the 2019 A6 offers a long list of driver assistance systems such as parking pilot and garage pilot, which autonomously maneuver the car into and out of a parking space or garage. The driver can use the myAudi app on their smartphone to activate the parking systems while out of the A6.

There is also a City assist package includes such features as crossing assist and a Tour assist package that supplements the adaptive cruise control with a light steering assist feature to keep the vehicle in lane. These new assist systems utilize a whopping five radar sensors, five cameras, twelve ultrasonic sensors and a laser scanner to function.

In Europe, the 2019 Audi A6’s engine lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter TFSI V6 that produces 340 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque and a 3.0-liter TDI (diesel) V6 rated at 286 horsepower and 457 pound-feet. Both benefit from mild hybrid technology and a belt alternator starter (BAS) to help keep gas mileage in check.

The gasoline engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel shits through an eight-speed automatic. Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system is standard.

According to Audi, drivers can expect a much sportier driving experience thanks to a new suspension and the all-wheel steering system.

The new, 2019 Audi A6 goes on sale in June 2018 after making its world debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

New Audi RS7 Sportback Is A Sexy, 592-HP Sports Sedan

It’s the sexiest, sportiest RS7 to date and one of the most attractive cars on the market.

There is a new Audi RS7 Sportback, and it boasts more power and better styling.

The performance-tuned German sports sedan is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces 600 PS (592 horsepower) and 590 pound-feet of torque.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and features the same 48-volt mild hybrid system as the latest RS6 Avant, allowing the driver to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 3.6 seconds on route to a top speed of 155 mph (249 km), which can be raised to 174 mph (280 km) or nearly 190 mph (306 km) with optional upgrade packages.

An adaptive air suspension system comes standard, and drops the RS7 Sportback by nearly a half inch when traveling at high speeds. It can also be raised by 0.8 inches to more easily drive over rough pavement.

Four-steering, an RS sport exhaust system with black tailpipes, and large carbon-ceramic brakes are all available.

As for styling, the new Audi RS7 Sportback sets itself apart from the A7 with more aggressive front and rear fascias, a wider stance, and 10-spoke 21-inch alloys (22-inch RS wheels are optional). It joins the RS6 wagon as one of the hottest cars in Audi’s lineup.

2020 Audi RS6 Avant Is An Autobahn-Killing, 591-HP Wagon

The performance wagon sprints from zero to 62 mph in an almost supercar-like 3.6 seconds.

Are wagons actually making a comeback? Thanks to recent introductions by Buick, Jaguar and Volvo, there has been a small resurgence in the U.S. wagon segment, and Audi is about to join the fray with a bang.

With Mercedes-Benz and Porsche already offering hot versions of the E-Class wagon and the Panamera, respectively, the German automaker has finally decided to bring the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant to America. Practical-minded performance enthusiasts can expect edgy styling, nearly 600 horsepower, and some serious hauling capabilities.

“The [old] RS6 is a hero for us and we had to think about how to top it,” stated Francesco D’Amore, the man responsible for the RS6 Avant’s exterior design. “It’s changed a lot from the standard A6. This is Darth Vader. It’s the Autobahn killer.”

The new RS 6 Avant is powered by a powertrain that uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 and a 48-volt hybrid system to generate 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system divide that power between the four wheels.

The AWD system has a standard 40:60 torque split, but it can send up to 70 percent of the power to the front axle or 85 percent to the rear if more traction is needed. It only takes 3.6 seconds for the 2020 RS 6 Avant to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and to 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 12 seconds before reaching a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h).

If 155 mph isn’t quite the Autobahn killer you crave, opting for the Dynamic package gets you a higher 174 mph (280 km/h) top speed and checking the box for the Dynamic Package Plus raises the limiter even higher to 190 mph (306 km/h).

Looking forward to the latest Audi RS 6? You’ll have to wait until the second quarter of 2020 or even longer for one, but — hey! — at least you can eventually buy one.

New, 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback Debuts With Coupe-Like Styling

The small SUV prioritizes style over function, but it’s still very practical.

Audi has developed a sleeker, more stylish version of the new Q3 crossover to challenge the BMW X4, calling it the Q3 Sportback.

Like the regular Q3, the 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback rides on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and is powered by a range of four-cylinder engine options with either a front- or all-wheel drive configuration. A 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 226 horsepower is the top engine, but buyers also have the option of two diesel engine options. A 1.5L engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system will even join the lineup later on.

A six-speed manual and / or seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions will be available depending on the engine.

Even with the sleeker coupe-like roofline, the Q3 Sportback offers plenty of room for driver and passengers and up to 50 cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded. It can be equipped with a plethora of modern tech features, including a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, Amazon Alexa connectivity, and navigation with Google Earth.

The 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback goes on sale in Europe in November 2019 with a starting price of 40,200 euros (~ $45,000). Audi has confirmed it will not be sold in the United States.
